Anglia Leisure Learning are using Hillscourt, at Rednal, just south of Birmingham, for some of its weekend courses that run from Friday dinner to Sunday afternoon tea.
This venue is close to the M5 and M42 motorways and near to Longbridge train station with direct access to Central Birmingham. It was recently refurbished to an excellent standard equivalent to a good 3-star hotel rating with many facilities including free wifi.
The grounds run to 25 acres, nestling in the beautiful wooded Lickey Hills, offering a tranquil backdrop to your course. And there is a large bar, where you can relax. Hillscourt has 36 single bedrooms, a dozen double bedrooms and three rooms adapted to meet the needs of disabled guests. All public areas are accessible to people in wheelchairs as are bedrooms 1-8.
Bedrooms are en suite and well appointed with showers (no baths), a seating area, TV, phone, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe for your valuables. Rooms are serviced daily. Hillscourt offers first class home cooking based on fresh produce. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style, and the evening meal is table d’hôte service allowing guests to relax after a busy day. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. A moderately priced wine list is available.
So, when you leave on the Sunday afternoon, you will not just simply have taken part in your course and enhanced your skills, but you will have also made new friends or renewed acquaintances, and enjoyed a reviving and memorable experience.
